Dials "Phone 1" when the cursor is positioned in the "Phone 1" field; dials "Phone 2", “Phone 3”, or “Phone 4” if the cursor is positioned in any of these fields. You can also dial from the entry screen by typing Cmd-option-(1, 2, 3, or 4) for "Phone 1-4", respectively or by double-clicking in any phone field.
The "Dial" command is enabled only when "Phone Dialing" is turned on in the "Preferences" dialog and you have selected a port through which Dynodex can dial. In "Preferences" you can also specify other aspects of dialing, such as a prefix, a suffix, the local area code, and other dialing options.
To disconnect your modem from the phone line (i.e., to hang up), press Command-Option-H. (When you dial a number, the "Dial" menu command changes to "Hang Up".)
Different ways to dial a phone number:
• Press Cmd-Option-1.
• Click in the "Phone 1" field an choose "Dial" from the Record Menu.
• Double-click on the phone number in the entry screen or in any list.
(Any one of the above options will dial the number listed in the "Phone 1" field. Follow the same steps for dialing Phones 2, 3, or 4.)
Holding down the shift key while performing any of the above will bring up a dialog allowing you to temporarily override the long-distance prefix.
